Career 

In 1985-1988 and 1991-1995 worked at the Diapraektar plant, in 1988-1989 at Rahachou City Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus. From 1995 to 1996 at the Control Service of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

From 1996 to 2000 held positions at the Committee for State Control of the Republic of Belarus, from 1998 was the president of Belarusian State Group of Companies for the production and sale of light industrial goods of the Republic of Belarus.

From 2003 to 2010 held senior positions in the government of the Republic of Belarus. In 2010-2011 was a deputy head of the Presidential Administration, and in 2011-2012 the Ambassador of Belarus to the Russian Federation and from 2012 to 2014 headed the Presidential Administration. In 2014-2018 was the Prime Minister of Belarus.
