He began his career at the 'Radio set' factory in Grodno.
From 1990-1992 - served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
From December 1996 to March 1999 - worked as Bailiff at the Court of the Kastryčnicki District of Hrodna Region.
From March 1999 to November 2002 he worked as Chief Specialist, then Deputy Chief of Staff responsible for the organisational management of the Courts and Justice Department of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee.
From November 2002 to September 2010 - worked as Deputy Chief of Management responsible for work with public associations - Chief of the Department of Political Parties, NGOs and Trade Unions, then as Head of the Department for NGOs of the Ministry of Justice.
Since 2007 he has been a Member of the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and Holding Republican Referenda.
From September 3, 2010 to December 13, 2011 - worked as Chairman of the Republican Labour Magistrates' Courts.
In December 2011 he was appointed Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
