Politician and economist.
He worked as a teacher, journalist, company director and researcher (August 1990 - October 1997).
Chief Specialist of the Commission for Economic Policy and Reform in the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus. Worked as economic analyst, then Deputy Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the weekly "Belorusskaya Gazeta" (January 1997 - May 2002).

Head of the Mises Scientific Research Centre and the analytical centre "Strategy" (from February 2002 onwards). From April 2000 - Deputy Chairman of the United Civic Party From January 2009 onwards he worked in a ministerial working group under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

Was candidate representing the United Civic Party in the 2010 Belarusian Presidential election.
