Aŭtuchovič Mikalaj

He worked as a mechanic on car repairs. Since 1981 he served in the Army in the Saratov region of Russia as a driver in the Strategic Missile Forces. Later he graduated from the school of praporshchiks and served in Afghanistan. Retired from the Army in 1991 in Vaŭkavysk as senior praporshchik and started his own business.

On 7 July 2006 he was imprisoned for 3 years and 6 months with confiscation of property for tax evasion which caused large scale losses for the budget, as well as for carrying out business activities without registration and license.

Autuchovič was one of six political prisoners freed as a result of US and EU sanctions, but on 8 February 2009 he was detained again and in 2010 sentenced to 5 years in prison under Article 295 part 3 - "Illegal actions involving firearms, ammunition and explosives". Was released on 8 April 2014.
