Since February 1992, Bishop of Zaraysk, the administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States and temporarily in Canada.

In 1999 he was appointed bishop of Vienna and Austria.

In 2001 he was elevated to the rank of archbishop of Vienna and Budapest.

Since May 2003 - Archbishop of Ryazan and Kasimov.

In October 2011 was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan.

On 25 December 2013, he was appointed the Most Reverend of Minsk and Slutsk, the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.

In September 2014 he was elected rector of the Institute of Theology of BSU.

In October 2014 was awarded the title "Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslaŭje", was appointed head of the Minsk Metropolitanate.
