For a long time worked as an assistant (1975), senior lecturer (1976), associate professor (1979), chair of political economy and history of economic thought (1985) at the Belarusian State Economic University. He became the first dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations of Belarusian State Economic University (1992). In 1994 - 1999 he was the head of a group of advisers to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. In 1999 - 2001 he worked as the executive director of Belbusinessbank. Since 2001 - professor of the Minsk Institute of Management, in 2006 - 2011 - professor of economic theory and marketing at the Belarusian State University of Technology.
