From 1990 to 1994 he was editor of the ‘Mahiliouskija Vedamastsi’ newspaper. In 1994-2000 headed the Belarusian Television and Radio Company and from 2000 to 2002 was Ambassador of Belarus to Romania. In 2002-2017 he was the chairman of the ONT channel.
