From 1982 to 1984 she worked as a photographer for the ‘Šliach kamunizmu’ newspaper and in 1984-1992 was an editor and senior editor at the Research Institute of Automation.

In 1992-1996 she held positions in the Ministry of Culture and Press. From 1996 to 2001, she was the deputy chief and head of the informational-analytical department of the Belarusian State Committee of Press.

From 2001 to 2003 she served as the Deputy Minister of Information, and since 2003 as the first deputy.
