Worked at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, occupying posts from investigator to deputy chief of the Office of Internal Affairs of Minsk Region Executive Committee.

From 2007 to 2012 worked in the State Security Committee. There led the Investigation Department and the Main Department of Counterintelligence Support of Law Enforcement and Regulatory Authorities, the Battle Against Corruption and Organised Crime.

In January 2012 became the First Deputy Interior Minister and Head of the Criminal Police Force.
