Was chief economist at the Kamsamolets state farm and chairman at the Majak agricultural and industrial cooperative. From 1999 to 2004 he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus. In 2004-2008 led the agricultural company Dziarzhynski.

From 2008 to 2010 was Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus. In 2010-2013 led the Hrodna Region Executive Committee.

In 2013-2017 he was the chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
