In 1978-1990 he worked in the Komsomol. In 1990-1993 - Economic Adviser, Head of the trade department of the Babrujsk City Executive Committee. In 1993, he headed JSC "Kosma-Kamcentr" in Babrujsk .

In 2001-2002 - Deputy Director, Director of "Pramhandalskura", deputy head of government agency Logistics Department of Presidential Property Management Office.

Since 2002 he was Deputy General Director of JSC "Belbakaleja" and then headed the enterprise. Minister of Trade of the Republic of Belarus from January 2009 to December 2015. In December 2015 he was arrested on charges of corruption and remains in custody.
