He worked in the Beltorgreklama as a film director since 1976, on Belarusian television since 1978, on the Bielaruski Telefilm since 1985, on Belarusfilm studio since 1989. In 2016 he ran for MP in the Svislač constituency of Minsk. He is the author of many films including 'An Ordinary President' and 'The Square'.
