Worked at the state farm Trastsino, the stud farm Lenina and the Hrodna Pig Breeding Control and Testing Station. Held positions at the Drybin District Production Association of Housing and Utilities Services.

From 1994 to 1996 was an economist, chief economist and deputy manager at the Drybin Branch of Belahraprambank. From 1996 to 2000 he was deputy chairman of Horki District Executive Committee, in 2000-2007 worked as the chief of financial department management of Mahiliou Region Executive Committee.

The next three years was deputy chairman of the Mahiliou Region Executive Committee. In 2009 was Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and from 2009 to 2014 was Minister of Economy.
