In 1990-1992, served in the Armed Forces, from 1992 to 1994 worked at the National Bank. In 1994, was chairman of the bank North-West, and in 1994-1995 was deputy chairman of the Board in Commonwealth Bank.

In 1995-2005, was director of the bank's branches and the Vice-Chairman of the Board in Belarusbank, from 2005 to 2010 was chairman of the Belahraprambank. In 2010-2012, served as deputy prime minister. In 2012-2018, served as Chairman of the Belarusian bank of development.
