In 2001 Marcinovič graduated from the graduate school of the Belarusian State University. From 2002 to 2015 worked as deputy editor of BelGazeta weekly.

In 2006, he became a teacher at the European Humanities University (Vilnius, Lithuania).

On 27 June 2008 he received his doctorate in art history from the Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania).

Author of the following books: Paranoia (2009), Cold Heaven (2011), Sphagnum (2013), Mova (2014).
