In 1999-2005 he headed the military unit 5527 (Fifth separate special police battalion). Then he was transferred to Homiel, where he commanded a special police brigade (military unit 5525).

In July 2008, he was appointed commander of the Minsk special police brigade. After trree months he was transferred to the position of commander of the battallion of the special forces brigade 3214 in Uručča. In 2009 he was appointed First Deputy Head of the Operational and Combat Training of the Interior Ministry troops.
