In 1995 he joined the Belarusian Association of Militarymen and after its disappearance - the White Legion. In 2006 he participated in the presidential elections in the team of Aliaksandr Kazulin. In March 2000, he was the first person convicted under criminal article "Activities on behalf of unregistered or not re-registered political parties, trade unions or other associations." He was detained in July 2008 on suspicion of involvement in the bombing on 4 July Independence Day. Was detained in 2017 during the persecution of the White Legion.
