After an internship at the University of Essen as a Fellow of the German Academic Exchange Service in 1995, he headed the Contact Office of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia - Delegation of Industrial Chamber of Commerce in Bonn. In 2001, it was officially transformed into a Delegation of the German Economy to the Republic of Belarus.

He is also a co-chairman of the four bilateral working groups with the Government of Belarus established in order to improve conditions for business, foreign trade and investment (Industrial Policy and Innovation, Law, Tax and Finance, Transport, Logistics and Customs, Professional Education).
