Hajdukievič began his career as an officer in the Department for Economic Crime at the Ministry of the Interior, then served as head of the Department for Economic Crime of Partyzanski district in Minsk, and later as head of Frunzenski district, the city's largest. He then served in the Minsk Police Force's Department for grave and especially grave crimes.

In 2007 he was promoted to police chief of Partyzansky district and became the youngest head of the district police department in the history of Minsk. Two years later, he became the head of police of Frunzenski district. In 2012, he left the Interior Ministry and joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus, which is headed by his father Siarhiej Hajdulievič.
